Getting There

It is possible to reach Orkney by three main methods.

Fly to Kirkwall Airport, this is possible from several Scottish mainland airports, including Inverness and Aberdeen. Hire cars can then be collected from the airport. It takes approximately 30 minutes to reach St Margaret's Hope from Kirwall Airport.

Drive to Scrabster on the North Scottish coast and take a Northlink Ferries crossing to Stomness. The crossing takes approximately 3 hours and it takes approximately 40 minutes to reach St Margaret's Hope from Stromness.

Drive to Gills Bay, adjacent to JohnO'Groats and take a Pentland Ferries crossing to St Margaret's Hope. The crossing takes 1 hour.
